Overall Blog Development
First time I being introduced to create my own blog by Dr. Sadiah I feel very excited about it, but then slowly I get in tension because many things I need to explore in creating my blog as Dr. Sadiah gave a few tasks to be done in the blog. Lack of knowledge with certain aspects of technology was a problem when creating my portfolio. It’s quite challenging to select the content of my electronic portfolio as I adequate access to equipment when creating my portfolio. But then, I feel very lucky because I always have my course mate that wiling to help me to overcome all the problems.
Now, I noticed how lucky I am because I had learned many things about technology while creating this blog. I learned to use new equipment. At the same time I also improved my skill in use of familiar equipment and how to use that new software programs and familiar with it. Other than that it also couches me how to organize and present ideas my using ICT. I will apply that technology in my teaching. I will ask my students to create their own e-portfolio, which is more convenient rather than traditional portfolios.
In learning SMART Board application, I feel that it very interesting and interactive. By using the notebook software, the teachers can record each step of a lesson for students to review.Further more, in camtasia I learned on how to teach by using video which I can share with the students virtually through a virtual class.I would like to thank Dr. Sadiah for introducing this technology to me...hopefully in future all this knowledge will help me to improve my skill in teaching...thanks again to Dr. Sadiah and UPSI for offering this subject to me...

Camstudio/ Camtasia Lesson Development
Everyday, we are dying to find new ways to enhance our teaching methods, more reliable ways to present new ideas to the world. Thus, we came to camtasia. With camtasia, we were able to share our knowledge through videos and animations that train, teach, sell, and more! Crucially, the process of creating camtasia must be as simple and at the same time easily uploaded to the internet to be shared with everyone in the world.
My team was given a task to create a camtasia video lesson, titled ‘How to create a blog’.
Firstly, we need to prepare the script of what we are going to be recorded in the camtasia. The next step was to record the camtasia through a headphone to insert the audio. At the same time, all multimedia equipments such as camera and audio detector are working as we wanted to.
As we proceed to next step, the recording process of our task. Along the process, we find many difficulties and some problem, but we can resolve it quickly so that It won’t delay our work.
After all the recordings work are done, we switch to multimedia editing task. We edited and adjusted the video accordingly to our needs and comply with our given task.

Smart Board Lesson Development

In learning SMART Board application, I feel that it very interesting and interactive. By using the notebook software, I can record each step of a lesson for students to review. The flexibility of it use in the classroom, including the multiple ways in which I can display information (interactive text, images, sound and video files), has been shown to facilitate ESL instruction and support both differentiated learning and universal design for learning (UDL). Now I noticed that the use of an interactive whiteboard like this in my classroom can make my teaching and learning processes more effective.
After go through this course, I would like to thanks Dr. Sadiah and Mr. William for introducing this magic tools to me. I noticed that, after my group assignment's completed, I feel that its very interactive and interesting event though at first we are blank about it and face a lot of technical problems especially during upload selected photos from the internet based on our title which is about nutritious. But then, because of our team work we manage to go through its challenge. We had presented it last week (27 mac 2010) event though at first we face a lot of problems in presenting our group task especially in clicking the icon and during setting up the alignment. But then with the Dr. Sadiah guidance we managed to present it well. Our group able to create an interactive learning process such as:
i)Drag and drop learning activities
ii)Multiple choices questions
iii)Image match
iv)Balloon pop
v)Category sort
vi)Word guess
vii)Beat the time
As a conclusion I agree with Mr. Johnson-Eilola,as he said that:
1) the SMART Board allows users to work with large amounts of information.
2) it offers an information space that invites active collaboration
3) the work produced is often “dynamic and contingent”.
Actually, I like to share all this experience and knowledge with my students but then the cost is too expensive which is more than RM 11,000.00.

Document Analysis of the Smart School
As I go through the blueprint and roadmap of the Smart School document, I noticed that no one can deny the importance of ICT in education. Since the 80's the Malaysian Ministry of Education has embarked on numerous projects to introduce ICT in education in schools. The smart school blueprint and Roadmaps shows how the Ministry's effords to push forward the use of ICT in the teaching and learning process as a means to widen students' knowledge, skills and experiences beyond textbook. These initiatives include initiatives on the infrastructure, management of resources, hardware, software, in-house training, on-site projects and smart discussed. The students can use ICT to do their projects/assignment. In smart school program the teachers are encouraged to use ICT to source information from the internet, virtual encyclopedias and CDs in preparing their lesson, tasks, electronic teaching aids as well using ICT to deliver lessons in their classroom.
The route to the implementation of ICT in education is lined with challences such as listed below:
An opinion on how ICT can be integrated into my teaching and learning process as below:
Background studies:
“New technologies have emerged to cause a fundamental shift in pedagogical practices in our classrooms. The teaching and learning of science and mathematics in schools have improved due to the convergence of computers and communication technologies. Instructional strategies that promote the effective use of information technology have been identified as best practices in improving the quality of teaching in most countries. These best practices encourage active learning where teachers are facilitators and students are independent learners”
In this modern era, telecommunication and multimedia technology is practiced globally and has become a required living skill. Studies by Milan Tai Bt Abdullah one of the headmistress in Muar, Johor found that to integrated ICT in teaching and learning process are by creating a new paradigm in teaching and learning by creating a conducive virtual learning school environment through wireless internet. These can be achieve firstly by expanding “HOT SPOT” with the setting up of the “Cyber Library” and “e-Info Centers” , secondly conducting on-going ICT training programmers and thirdly to fully integrate ICT into classroom teaching and learning including for the visually impaired.
Suggestions:
Below are a few suggestions by the researcher on how The ICT can integrate into my teaching and learning process:
1. “Virtual Class”
The teachers need to store all the notes, module and exercises in hard disc in e-library so that easy for the students and others teachers to refer and shared the info. Students and teachers can communicate easily through e-mail or chi chat at night or weekend including sending the assignment or task given by the teachers.
2. “Video Conferencing”
The students can chit-chat with peer from different countries for exchange or share an ideas or the knowledge.
3. Smart e-Classroom
The entire classrooms have fully furniture with smart interactive whiteboard.
4. Contructionvism theory by collaborative-“on-line learning” where the teachers or students sending, receiving and sharing the info through various elements such as texts, graphic, audio video and animation.
5. “Crossing Global Borders”
Encouraging the students to involve in competition of ICT at International level for the good exposures and experience.

My Teaching Goal
My Goals and Philosophy of Education
I have always leaned toward the profession of education. I feel that a career in education has much to offer, both personally and professionally. The idea of any other career has never been a question; as a child, and now as an adult, I have always known that my interest lay in teaching.
A Teacher's Credo by Jane Ng Chooi Gaik
This I believe:
That when we choose to teach, we choose to serve; That every child is entitled to the best that we have to give; regardless of his personality or his situation; that our discipline should be firm, consistent and constructive; That we should remember that kindness, consideration and trust are not signs of weakness in a teacher; That children are hurt by the same thing that hurts us - sarcasm and ridicule;
That we should not exact a higher standard of conduct in matters of punctuality, responsibility and self-control than we ourselves possess;
That we have limited opportunities to touch lives for good and that we should treat every child as if he were our very own.
I also believe that the overall importance of education is to provide students with knowledge that they would perhaps not obtain elsewhere while respecting each student’s individuality. A learning experience is a creative experience, both with knowledge provided by a teacher, books and other teaching aides, and also with the student’s own input.

My Philosophy of Teaching and Learning
My Philosophy of Teaching and learning
All students can learn when they are accepted for who and where they are in their educational journey. Effective learning requires a collaboration between teachers, students and parents grounded in mutual respect and trust.
I believe learning takes place best in a positive safe environment filled with laughter. To achivie this, I will include interesting learning activities in my lessons to grab the attention of students and inspire them to learn. I guide my students to explore meaning, engage in critical thinking and conduct their own experiments. Student's active and fun role as learners and thinkers in my class helps them to enjoy learning and get excited about their education.
When I feel success I let them know, and when I feel discouraged I talk about that and often ask for help. That same participation demonstrates the importance of my own continuous growth as a learner, and my self-reflection on that process.
When I teach I also want students to know that I care about them, I am interested in them, and I respect them; so I work very hard to make sure my students find me accessible. because of that effort, I create a strong sense of community in my classroom.
I strive to continue learning how I can improve my teaching by furthering studies in UPSI, because I love to teach and find it very rewarding.

I have wanted to be a teacher since primary school. I have always enjoyed learning, and always loved to share my knowledge with someone that I knew. Now, I am a teacher at SMK Taman Desa, Bandar Country Homes , Rawang, Selangor. As a biologi teacher, I love for the sensation of letting others learn, because it will sends a warm feeling to my heart. I will help my students to learn by making my lessons fun and interesting, to the point where the students will be on the edge of their seats dying to learn more essepecially in biology.
Petua Seorang Guru
Kalau seorang guru mengajar sambil duduk,
Murid belajar sambil mengantuk.
Kalau seorang guru mengajar sambil berlakon,
Murid belajar dengan tekun.
Kalau seorang guru mengajar tanpa alat,
Murid belajar dengan ralat.
Kalau seorang guru mengajar banyak bercakap,
Ada murid bertambah gagap.
Kalau seorang guru menjadi pemudah cara,
Ramai murid pandai berbicara.
Kalau seorang guru mengajar tanpa menilai,
Tak akan tahu murid bodoh dan pandai.
Kalau seorang guru berbudi bahasa,
Dikenang murid sepanjang masa.
Sumbangan: Encik Jaafar bin Yusof.
I likes this....
Don't be "Tension"
The moment you are in tension
you will lose your attention
then you are in total confusion
and you'll feel irritation
This may spoil your personal relation
Ultimately, you won't get co-operation
and get things into complication
then your BP may rise-caution
And you may have to take medication
Why not try understanding the situation
and try to think about the solution
Many problems will be solved by discussion
Which will work out better in your profession
Don't think it's my free suggestion
It is only for your prevention............
